Several engineering departments and study programs promote the Minors, including the master’s degree in Transportation Engineering and Mobility. The Minor in Applied Machine Learning allows for a Diploma Supplement that certifies the students have taken an interdisciplinary training program that provides them with basic and advanced skills in using typical approaches to artificial intelligence in specific application domains, including Transportation.
The Minor is open to master’s students who wish to tailor their course of study to a specific area of artificial intelligence technologies and broaden their skills. The Minor in Applied Machine Learning intends to complete the training of a professional figure with solid knowledge of the use of Artificial Intelligence-based methodologies in the engineering fields, capable of qualified intervention to support the implementation of effective, safe, and sustainable solutions through the use of the most advanced analysis methodologies and enabling technologies.
The Minor in Applied Machine Learning is open to students already enrolled in the master’s degree in Transportation Engineering and Mobility. It takes advantage of the presence in the compulsory courses of the curriculum of a subject on big data and machine learning, which already provides the necessary foundation for the Minor. An extra effort of 10 additional ETCS is required to take the Minor. The Diploma Supplement is accompanied by an Open Badge in digital format.
Students interested in Minors should also consider the Minor in Smart Infrastructures Developer.
